Lead (II) nitrate is mainly used in fireworks (crackers ). So when it is heated Oxidation and decomposition takes place of Pb(NO3)2. It produces lead monoxide, nitrogen dioxide and oxygen gas.. 2Pb(NO3)2 + O2 (COMBUSTION) →2 PbO + 4NO2 + O2.
