oxidation → adding of oxyegen or removing of hydrogen.
Example → c+ o2 → co2 ( here carbon is oxidised)
reduction→ gaining of hydrogen or removal of oxyegen.
example - caco3+ heat → cao+ co2 ( here caco3 is reduce)

HEY MATE HERE IS YOUR ANSWER ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
oxidation reaction- gain of oxygen or loss of hydrogen.
reduction reaction- gain of hydrogen or loss of oxygen.
both oxidation and reduction occur simultaneously .
ex- CuO + H2 → Cu + H2O
here CuO undergoes reduction.
and H2 undergoes oxidation.
