ಒಂದು ಗಾದೆಯು ಸರಳ ಮತ್ತು ಒಳನೋಟವುಳ್ಳ, ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು ಅದು ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಜ್ಞಾನ ಅಥವಾ ಅನುಭವದ ಆಧಾರದ ಮೇಲೆ ಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಗಾದೆಗಳು ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯವಾಗಿ ರೂಪಕ ಮತ್ತು ಸೂತ್ರದ ಭಾಷೆಯನ್ನು ಬಳಸುತ್ತವೆ.
