I love to celebrate the festival of Eid ul Fitr . It is celebrated to mark the end of one month of fasting by the Muslims. In this holy month of Ramadan, Muslims not only fast the while day long but are also expected to be truthful, kind, helpful to their relatives as well as the poor. So Eid is celebrated with gaeity. New clothes are put on, delicious sweet dishes of vermicelli are prepared apart from a sumptuous feast for friends and relatives. For men the day begins with anEid prayer to be offered at any mosque, in their new attire. Children impatiently wait to be given any amount of money as Eidi by all the elders. The poor are also given a token amount of money called Fitra so that they may also have to eat a good meal at home on this day. I visit my aunts and uncles and enjoy with cousins and friends.

I like to attend many events like national and traditional festivals. Here I would like to talk about our festival Diwali. I celebrate Diwali every year full of enthusiasm and joy.

It is not a one-day celebration but a month celebration which starts with the cleaning of our house and ended with the gifts and sweet exchanges including Pooja.  We also buy sweets and crackers. Although this year I have decided NO to crackers as it is one of the main cause of rising pollution.
