Pusarla Venkata Sindhu, known as PV Sindhu, is an Indian professional badminton player and the first Indian woman to win an Olympic silver medal. Born on July 5, 1995, in Hyderabad, Sindhu is also one of the two Indian badminton players to ever win an Olympic medal, the other being Saina Nehwal.
