Once when my grandfather was still a young boy of around 15 years of age, he had gone to help his father tend to the fields and spend the night hunting. As they are living in the mountains and also follow the tribal lifestyle, most of the villages in the mountainous areas depend on hunting and farming for their daily sustenance.
And on that particular night, my grandfather was with his two older siblings and their father when a huge bear came to the farm ad tried to attack them. My great-grandfather took hold of the rifle and began shooting at the bear. But it seemed like he had missed or the bullets have no effect on the huge monster. The two older brothers joined in attacking the animal while my grandfather just stood frozen, for it was his first time seeing such battle. The bear knocked one of the brothers out cold and was trying to attack the others when some fellow hunters came to their rescue.
The bear was ultimately killed and thus saved anyone from fatally wounded. The men made sure to remove the fur of the bear and also the meat, to take back to the village. It was then that my great-grandfather became known as the village brave-heart for fighting against a bear.
