Hi ,

Tan 15 = tan ( 45 - 30 )

= ( Tan 45 - tan30)/ (1 + tan45tan30)

= ( 1 - 1/√3 ) / ( 1+ 1/√3 )

= ( √3 - 1 ) / ( √3 + 1 )
H
Rationalize the denominator ,

= ( √3 - 1 )² / [ ( √3 )² - 1² ]

= ( 4 - 2√3 ) / 2

= 2 - √3 ----( 1 )

Now ,

Tan 15 + tan 30

= 2 - √3 + 1/√3

= 2 - √3 + ( √3 ) / 3

= ( 6 - 3√3 + √3 )/ 3

= ( 6 - 2√3 ) / 3

I hope this helps you.

:)

DxT: can you please check the calucation of last two steps
