  =   {tan}^{2}  \alpha  -  \sin {}^{2} ( \alpha )  \\  =  \frac{ \sin {}^{2} ( \alpha ) -  \sin {}^{2} ( \alpha ) \cos {}^{2} ( \alpha )   }{ \cos {}^{2} ( \alpha ) }  \\  =  \frac{ \sin {}^{2} ( \alpha )(1 -  \cos {}^{2} ( \alpha )  }{ \cos {}^{2} ( \alpha ) }  \\  =  \frac{ \sin {}^{2} ( \alpha ) \times   \sin {}^{2} ( \alpha )  }{ \cos {}^{2} ( \alpha ) }  \\  =  \tan {}^{2} ( \alpha )  \times  \sin {}^{2} ( \alpha )
