tan(A+B)=3^2, tan(A-B)=1/3^2; find the value of A and B

Solution:

I think it may be like this ,

i ) tan(A+B) = √3

=> tan(A+B) = tan 60°

=> A+B = 60 ---(1)

ii) tan(A-B) = 1/√3

=> tan(A-B) = tan 30°

=> A-B = 30 ----(2)

Add (1) & (2) we get

=> 2A = 90

=> A = 90/2 = 45

Substitute A = 45 in equation

(1) ,we get

=> 45 + B = 60

=> B = 60-45

=> B = 15

Therefore,

A = 45, B = 15
