Tan A - Cot A = 2Sin² A - 1 / Sin A . Cos A​

Answer:

LHS = tanA - cotA

       = \frac{sinA}{cosA} - \frac{cosA}{sinA}

       = \frac{sin^2A - cos^2A}{sinAcosA}

       = \frac{sin^2A - ( 1- sin^2A)}{sinAcosA}                               ( ∵ sin^{2} A + cos^{2} A = 1 )

       = \frac{sin^2A-1+sin^2A}{sinAcosA}

       = \frac{2sin^2A-1}{sinAcosA}   = RHS --------------- proved
