The LHS of the proving statement is given as cosθ/1−sinθ

Multiply and divide by (1+sinθ)

{cosθ(1+sinθ)/(1−sinθ)(1+sinθ)}

{cosθ+cosθsinθ/1−sin^2θ}

By the identity, sin^2θ+cos^2θ=1,

=cosθ+cosθsinθ/cos^2θ

=cosθ(cosθ)^2+cosθsinθ/(cosθ)^2

=1/cosθ+sinθ/cosθ

=secθ+tanθ

Hence proved!
