Hi ,
Here I am using A instead of theta.
*********************************
1 ) tan²A = sin²A/cos²A
2 ) sin²A = 1 - sin²A
*****************************************
LHS = tan²Acos²A
= ( Sin²A/cos²A ) cos²A
= Sin²A
= 1 - cos²A
= RHS
I hope this helps you.
