tan thetha =8/17 and thetha+ alpha=90 degree. thn find the value of cot alpha.

put 90-theeta as alpha in cot theeta u will get tan theeta = cot alpha so answer is 8/17

Heya!!

tan theta = 8/17 (Given)

theta + alpha = 90° ( Given)

Then,

theta + alpha = 90°

=) alpha = (90° - theta) .............eq (i)

Now,

Cot alpha = cot (90- theta) { from eq (i) }

= tan theta

= 8/17 ( given)



Hence, the value of cot alpha is 8/17.
