 = \tan {}^{2} ( \alpha ) + \cot {}^{2} ( \alpha ) + 2 \\ = \tan( {}^{2} \alpha ) + 1 + \cot {}^{2} ( \alpha ) + 1 \\ = \sec {}^{2} ( \alpha ) + \csc {}^{2} ( \alpha )

hope it helps you

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

To prove that

Tan²a + cot²a +2 = sec² a + cosec² a

We know that 1+tan²a = sec²a and

1+cot²a= cosec²a

Solving RHS

Sec²a+ cosec² a

1+tan²a + 1 +cot² a

2+tan²a+cot² a

= LHS

Hence proved
