Tania counted all of the shoes in her closet. She has 4 pairs of sneakers, 5 pairs of black dress shoes, and 3 pairs of brown dress shoes. What is the ratio of sneakers to dress shoes?

∴total number of dress shoes = 16

=\frac{number of sneaker shoes}{number of dress shoes}

=\frac{8}{16}

=\frac{1}{2}
