Hey Buddy

Here's the Answer

----------------------------------------------

Tank A contains 3 times as much as tank B

Let say water in tank A = 3x

So water in tank B = x

If we want 20 L in each of the tanks so total water will be = 40 L

Now,

3x + x = 40

4x = 40

x = 40/4

x = 10 L

Now tank A has (3x), means 30 L of water

And, tank B has 10 L

So to have 20 L in both, we will transfer 10 L of water from A to B

Option c (10) is correct answer.

Have a great day ahead

3x + x = 40

x = 10

A = 30 , B = 10

10 L from A to B

Option C is correct .
