16 years ago,

(y-16) / (x-16) = 8

y - 16 = 8x - 128

8x - y - 112 = 0 ...(1)

8 years after,

(y+8) / (x+8) = 3

y + 8 = 3x + 24

3x - y + 16 = 0 ...(2)

Solving (1) & (2),

x = 25.6 yrs

y = 92.8 yrs

So 8 years back,

(92.8-8) / (25.6-8) = 4.8

Therefore, ratio of Grandfather to Tanya's age after 8 years will be 4.8 .
