Tartaric acid is a component of baking powder used in making cakes. Explain why?


joshihimanshu46: actually baking powder is bitter in taste dur to basic nature. so to neutralize that taste tatric acid is added to it. hope it will help

ii. Gypsum is used in the manufacture of cement.
iii. Anhydrous calcium chloride is used in desiccators./guard tube

tatrik acid is present in acidic foods like lemon orange tomato etc
but it is present in eggs I hope
so its used in making of cakes
