He was known for his wisdom One day his friend Asad invited him to a feast in his house. Nasiruddin went to his friend's house. The house was full of well-dressed people. On the table placed at the centre of a hall, were plates full of meat, freshly baked bread, heaps of nice bunches of grapes and other fruits. His hunger increased at the sight of the food served on the table. He could feel the taste of sugar, honey, salt just by smelling the food! As he moved eagerly towards the food, someone stopped him. His friend did not even recognize him! He was not well- dressed. Extremely sad, he returned home. After a couple of months, he was invited to another feast. He went there wearing the best of his dresses made of silk. This time he was received well. While they were all eating together, Nasiruddin suddenly started feeding his dress! Surprised at his gesture, everyone asked him why he was doing so. "All the honour receive here is due to this dress! I must feed it well." he replied with a smile.
