Step-by-step explanation:

let the fixed charge =x

variable charge =y

In first case

x+60y=960(eq.1)

in 2nd case

x+80y=1260 (eq 2.)

from eq. 1st and 2nd

x+60y=960 -(x+80y=1260)

=-20y= -300

y=15

x+60y=960

x+60×15=960

x+900=960

x=60
