\bf\underline{\underline{\red{SOLUTION:-}}}

Let the fixed charges be Rs. x and the other charges be Rs. y per km

Then

x+60y=960________(1)

x+80y=1260________(2)

On subtracting (i) from (ii)

We get,

= 20y= 300

= y= 300/20

= y=15

Putting y= 15 in (i)

we get,

= x+(60×15)=960

= x= 960-900

= x= 60

Hence,

Fixed charges = Rs. 60 and the rate per km = Rs. 15 per km
