travelled in kilometres. If a person travels 80 km, he pays ₹1330, and for travelling 90 km, he
pays ₹1490. Find the fixed charges and the rate per kilometre

Let the fixed charge be x and rate per km be y
So, x+80y=1330x+90y=1490
Subtracting above Equations from each other
10y=160
⇒y=16
and
x+80∗16=1330
⇒x=1330−1280
=50
