▪︎To Find:-

  • Fixed Charge of Taxi
  • Charge of taxi per km

════◄••❀••►════

▪︎Solution:-

Let the taxi fixed charges be ₹x

Let the taxi charges depends on Distance be ₹y

According to given conditions;

x + 80y = 1330------- eq.1

And,x + 90y = 1490------- eq.2

By subtracting eq.2 from eq.1 , we get

x + 80y - (x + 90y) = 1330 - 1490

➟ x + 80y - x - 90y = -160

➟ x - x + 80y - 90y = -160

➟ -10y = -160

➟ y = -160 ÷ -10

➟ y = 16

➥ Putting y = 16 in eq.1, we get

x + 80y = 1330

➟ x + 80×16 =1330

➟ x + 1280 = 1330

➟ x = 1330 - 1280

➟ x = 50

Hence,

  • Fixed taxi charges is ₹50
  • Charges depends on distance covered is ₹16 per km.
