So the total is 8$+ 5$(no: of kilometers)

Which is y=8+5x

Now if the word subsequent wasn't mentioned you'd have to reduced the number of kilometers by 1 cause the first kilometre is already accounted for right?

So it'd be y=8+5x-5 ie. y=3+5x

But it's not

So it's the first one
