Endothermic:-

1.Heat is absorbed
2.Energy must be added for reaction to occur
3.Disorder decrease

Exothermic:-

1.Heat ia released
2.Reaction occur spontaneously
3.Entropy increases

ENDOTHERMIC REACTION - A chemical reaction in which heat is absorbed is called endothermic reaction. It causes of fall in temperature photosynthesis is such a reaction which cannot take place in the absence of Sunlight .example - when nitrogen and oxygen together are heated to a temperature of about 3000°C, Nitric gas is formed .

EXOTHERMIC REACTION - A chemical reaction in which heat is given out is called exothermic reaction . It causes rise in temperature . Respiration and combustion reactions are some examples of exothermic reactions.
For example - when carbon burns in oxygen to form carbon dioxide heat is evolved .
