history of cotton can be traced to domestication. Cotton played an important role in the history of India, the British Empire, and the United States, and continues to be an important crop and commodity.

The history of the domestication of cotton is very complex and is not known exactly.[1] Several isolated civilizations in both the Old and New Worldindependently domesticated and converted cotton into fabric. All the same tools were invented, including combs, bows, hand spindles, and primitive looms.[

Robert Bruce and his brother Charles Bruce were the Britishmen who made the tea plantation possible in India in 19th century A.D.

They played a pivotal role in introduction of tea plantation in India. It is said that a merchant named Maniram Dewan introduced Robert Bruce to singpho people who were drinking something similar to a tea. Robert took the sample and tested the same and found it similar to the tea of China. But he died shortly and then his brother Charles took a keen interest in it and succeeded in introducing tea plantation in India.
