PREPARATION OF TEA-LEAVES
Tea-leaves are plucked from the garden and brought to the factory. They are then dried on trays in large heated rooms for 20 hours. These dried leaves are cut into pieces in shredding machines. Leaves are then sent into hot oven through the moving trays. The back leaves now change colour and develop a fine scent. These leaves are then passed through sieving machine with different sizes of holes. Thus we get different sizes of tea-big, small and dust-tea. They are packed and sent to various places.
