Role of Teachers in One’s Life

Teachers play a pivotal role in each and every human’s life. They are the role-models who directly or indirectly influence our life. Behind every man or woman’s success is always a teacher. Teachers are like light houses that guide the ship of students to the shores of life. They are like the doctors treating the disorders of ignorance. They are the magicians who make the miracles of knowledge happen. This world would be a much darker and hostile place to live in if there were no teachers.

This life is a very complex phenomenon. Clouds of questions, mysteries, conflicts, doubts, uncertainties, and difficulties are always overcast. Teachers like the radiant sun dispel those clouds. They answer our questions; they solve mysteries of life; they resolve our conflicts; they clear our doubts; and turn our uncertainties into certainties.

Miss Sullivan, the wondrous teacher of Helen Keller is worth mentioning in the context. After Helen Keller was left deprived of seeing, hearing, and speaking abilities her world was filled with darkness and sadness. It was her teacher, Miss Sullivan who filled her world with light. She taught him how to read, write, and stood with her through the challenges of life. Finally Helen Keller achieved staggering success. This would have not been possible without Miss Sullivan. There are many similar inspiring examples that tell us the life-transforming contribution of teachers in our life.

So we must be thankful to life that has given us such knowledgeable teachers in our life. We must respect them and receive knowledge and skills from them gratefully.
