no, it should not be done because its a age when a person wants freedom and if they will not be given pocket money than it be a way they will get frustrated of.they should be given money but in a limited stock and should be instructed, supervised and taken care by the parents or guide.

I disagree. Teenagers will soon change into adults and it is important that they understand the value of money. Money should be given, but in a particular manner. In my home, I get whatever I ask for. Just to teach me the value of money, my parents give me 500rs. These 500rs aren't even needed because I get whatever I ask for but still, in return, I have to do home chores. In this way, I learn about the home chores so that later on if I go somewhere it will help me and off course, I have learnt the value of money.
