♠ Let the ages of children be x, x + 2, x + 4, x + 6, x + 8, x + 10 and x + 12.



♠ Give that the sum of their ages = 49

→→→ x + x + 2 + x + 4 + x + 6 + x + 8 + x + 10 + x + 12 = 49

=> 7x + 42 = 49

=> 7x = 49 - 42

=> 7x = 7

=> x = 7/7

=> x = 1

x = 1
x + 2 = 3
x + 4 = 5
x + 6 = 7
x + 8 = 9
x + 10 = 11
x + 12 = 13.
