Answer:

Something about a village location attracts growth . In modern times , this often happens because a village is near a larger city, a highway, or a railroad line. In these cases people will be attracted to the village as a place to live while working in the city. If enough people move there as well and the place will become a town. Similarly a location close to a highway , a rail line , or some important resource will attract businesses to a village and cause it to grow into a town.
