According to me television if used judiciously is very beneficial as it keeps us updated about the news worldwide and gives us knowledge and entertainment.

television is good it gives us a lot of knowledge like news, about animals etcand it also relaxes our mind
if we see it for a long time it causes many problems like eye problem etc
