Television programmes do a lot of harm to the students for or against the statement

If television is used appropriately, it may benefit the students. On the contrary, if it is being misused, for example, there are television programmes which are totally useless and keeps the students glued to the TV most of the time.  This will lead them to having bad eyesight, poor concentration at school, inability to finish the homework and lack of focus.  Much of the teledramas and movies consume a lot of time and if students end up watching them late at night, they will be present at school with tired eyes and less prepared for lessons.
