He Was Born in Chennai , Tamil Nadu.

He was a son of A school Headmaster.

He was keen In reading Poems and stories . Thomas Hardy, Charles Dickens were Favourite Of him.

He completed his studies at school in 1926 and joined Maharaja College , Mysore.

He is known for his stories Of Malgudi "imaginary town". For this he got Padma Bhushan in 1964 and many others.

Sadly , He died On 13 May 2021! HE WILL BE ALWAYS IN OUR HEART WITH THEIR STORIES
