Tell a story about a boy who lacks in studies and then he learn value of study
Answers
Raju didn't like to study. He found that studies were boring and often tended to neglect them. He didn't get good marks in his school because he lazed around and refused to pick up his books and study. His parents were tired of advising him everyday.
One day, he saw an old man by the road, holding a textbook for grade one. Being a fifth grader himself, Raju found this hilarious. He teased the old man why he was holding a textbook meant for little kids. The man replied that he was a poor laborer and was illiterate. He did not have proper education and hence was not employed by anyone. His family was very poor and they didn't have money, so he wanted to look for jobs. But no one wanted illiterate people to work for them. The man advised Raju to pick up his books and study, so he could prevent the fate, the poor man himself had.
After seeing this, Raju felt determined to study. He did not want to be in the same helpless position as the poor man. From that day on, he made a silent vow to himself. Years later, he completed all his courses with flying colours and became quite successful, all thanks to the wise words of an illiterate man.
