Story about leaf structure

• Sona and Mona were two friends and they used to play together and one day Sona said to Mona that she was planning to grow trees in her home

• So they went to nursery and got tree saplings and they planted it outside their house and after few days the leaves of the sapling started to dry

• They were very sad and they decided to know more about the plants and leaf structure and they went to the library to study the structure of leaves

• They learnt that leaves are power house of the plants and in many plants leaves act as major sites for the production of food

• Green pigments chlorophyll which are present in the leaves convert the sunlight into chemical energy and it is synthesized by the plants for energy

• Leaves are generally made up of many structures in which they are layered between the dermis and they have a waxy coating to prevent them from insects and bacteria

• They both realized that they did not plant the sapling in the place of sunlight and they shifted the sapling and then the sapling grew and yielded many fruits
