Cytoplasm:
It is the part of the cell which occirs between the plasma membrane and the nuclear envelope.It is a jelly like structure.

Funtions: It acts as a store of vital chemicals such as amino acids,glucose,vitamins. It is the site of certain metabolic pathways such as glycolysis,synthesis of fatty acids nucleotides and some amino acids also take place in the cytosol. it also contain many other organelles such as golgi apparatus,lysosomes,etc
