These ingredients are mixed together and then kept in an oven to bake. When it is baking there is a chemical reaction going on that turns the mixture to emit Carbon dioxide due to heat
and therefore the cake flufs up.
So the conclusion is that the following reactions happen
1. applying of heat energy results in chemical reaction
2. the cakes content perform chemical reaction resulting in the formation of delicious cake
So it is a scientific experiment as we are testing the right amount of indigrients when applied heat form a cake.

you should know that to make cakes bread we use baking power which is added to dough for fermentation. when we put cake into oven a chemical reaction occur due to which the carbon dioxide inside the dough try to escape out and makes pores in the bread and pores make bread soft and spongy
