No, Universe does not have any initial point.
I tell you one interesting quote though.
Steven Hawking in his book "A brief History of Time"- "The Universe is one large and infinite space, it has no beginning and no end."
Now interestingly, the same thing was written in "Atharva Veda"(one of the 4 Vedas of Hinduism) stating this as-
