Answer: 2x+7=13

Concept: The equations which have only one variable and the highest power of the variable is '1' are called linear equations.

Given: 4 equations

3x²+5=16, 2x+y=7, y³+y²-3 and 2x+7=13

To find: which equation is linear in all given equations.

Solutions: Now check the first option 3x²+5=16, here highest power of the variable is '2' so this is not a linear equation

Come to the second option 2x+y=7, which has two variables so it can not be a linear equation also.

The third option is y³+y²-3=0, in this option highest power of the variable is 3 so it can not be a linear equation

Now last option 2x+7=13 is a linear equation as it has only one variable and it's the highest power is '1'

Hence the 4th option 2x+7=13 is the right answer to the question
