Anton Chekhov was a Russian playwright and short story writer.
He was born on 29 January 1860 in Russia.
He is considered as one of the greatest writers of short fiction stories.
He also practiced as a doctor.
He was awarded with the Pushkin Prize.
By May 1904, he was ill with tuberculosis.
He died on 15 July 1904 in the German Empire.
Some of his works include:
The Chameleon.
The Death of a Clerk.
Gooseberries.
The Lady with the Dog.
Misery, etc.
