An incurable defect of vision which reduces the ability to discriminate one colour from another. In the most common types confusion among the red-- yellow-- green range of colour is very prevalent-- e.g.many colour -- blind observes are unable to distinguished red from yellow or yellow from green. The cause of congenital C.B.is not known, although is probably arises from some defect in the retinal receptors. Toxis conditions caused by excessive smoking, lead poisoning, etc.,can lead to C.B . Statistics show that from 2 to 6 percent of males suffer from the defect, but among women the number of cases is under 1 percent_______the end___________________________________
