1) NaOH
- obtained by passing of electricity through aqueous solution of sodium chloride .
-used as degreasing metals ,soap and detergents ,paper making and artificial fibres.
2) bleaching powder (CaOCl2)
- formed by reacting dry Ca(OH)2 and chlorine .
- used for bleaching cotton and linen in textile industry as an oxidising agent and for disinfecting drinking water
3) NaHCO3
- formed by reacting NaCl + H2O + CO2+ NH3
- used for making baking powder , used as an ingredient in antacids and soda fire extinguisher .
4) Na2CO3 *10H2O
- formed on heating NaHCO3 and then reacting it separately with water forms this product .
- used in glass soap and paper industries and in manufacturing of sodium compounds and also as cleansing agent and removing permanent hydrogen hardness of water .
