the best way to be a topper in your class is to work hard...toppers are the ones who don't waste their time chilling out with friends,gossiping but they are the ones who respect studies and know how important that is in their life....so u just have to work hard with all ur dedication upon studies and that's all...

Bro you just have to follow these steps in an order to be a topper in the class-
 
1. First of all study, study and study and don't waste your time.
2. Participate well in the classes- listen to the teacher and try to sit in the first rows.
3. Get your body and mind to study and make a well detailed timetable.
4. Don't lag before and start reading, one or two days before the exams.
5. Don't read one or two hours before the exams as you will also forget the things you have learned before and also you can't probably remember the thing so quickly. 
6. Complete all your home assignments.
7. Don't compare yourself with others but with your previous performance level.
8. Learn in a way in which you find it interesting to read. Record your own voice and listen or make it as a music or make it a funny line and make a fun of it or draw some pictures associated with the studies.
9. Shift between the subjects if you find it boring or loose concentration.
10. Ask your teachers to clear your doubts thoroughly.
11. Don't get into any distractions.
12. Don't get in with distracting classmates.
