Buy a phenolphthalein solution and add some acidic solution into it first.
Then add some basic solution and you will see the magic..
Actually, the phenolphthalein solution is colourless due to the addition of acid the solution turns pink and due to the addition of base it again turns base...
So it kind of looks like magic..
Really helpful to impress small kids and if you show to bigger ones then make sure you take care of the property....

sorry there were a lot of typing mistake
actually the phenolphthalein solution is colourless
and if you add base it turns pink
if you add acid it again turns back into a colourless solution
so it's kind of a magic. Really interesting one too
