It was started in merut military camp. Indian soldiers in british army are the 1st to start this revolt happened. Mangal pandey his soldiers are the 1st spark of this Riot of 1857. it was started by sepoys of barrackpore and meerut.

The revolution plans to start the revolt on 30th May but it brock out on 10th May so it didn't go according to the plan made by the revolutionaries. There was no unity among rebels and the sepoy of bengal wanted to revived the mughal empire by tanya tope nana sahib to reveal the maratha empire. The revolt remained confined only to north and Central India. The Sikh, nizam,the sindia and purkhas did not participate. The leader had narrow thinking as they were only interested to get their own areas from British rule but fail to think in rule. Please mark as brainliest
