Positive? Surely, a lot. BTS have taught me many things.
One of them, was the idea of friendship.
My mom has continuously told me throughout my lifetime that family is the strongest bond you can ever have with someone- and that friends rarely ever stick around. She’s said things about how friends might worry about you and ask if you’re okay, but they won’t go to much of an extent to express themselves about it.
Since I’ve been hearing this my entire life, I never thought much about having friends. “A waste of time, anyways”. I enclosed myself during my school days, and was really selective about the people I talked to.
Then, I was introduced to the topic of BTS. I got to know the group by continously watching Bangtan Bombs, and by observing each of their personalities- but especially, their bond with each other. I wasn’t attracted to BTS because of their music, or their dancing. It was the close relationship they all had with each other that made me intrigued about them. How could a group of friends seem so close?
BTS taught me about friendship, family, and brotherhood in less then a day. About how friends, could be your family, and so much more. That was a positive value that legit changed my life.
Another one, would be self-confidence. I’m talking about Jin, Jungkook, and J-Hope of course.
The reason why I think these members represent self-confidence the most, would be because of the following things;
First of all, as you all know, Jin isn’t afraid to boast about how handsome he is. Even if he is only doing this to hide his insecurities, he chooses to say it anyways, knowing that he might get a bad reaction to it. He talks about his visuals all the time, and that is attractive by itself already. What I mean by that, is that Jin doesn’t show any weakness in what he thinks of his visuals, which I find very appealing.
Secondly, Jungkook is known for being the “Golden Maknae”. He appears to be good at almost anything, and he knows it. Jungkook never loses the chance to show us how talented he is. At any opportunity of showing his worth, he’ll jump in. There are barely any clips of him being hesitant.
Last but not least, J-hope the dance machine. Hoseok loves to dance, and he’s really good at it. It’s probably his most confident point. He dances everywhere he goes, and won’t back off from a dancing competition. Do you remember, American Hustle Life? The group was walking in a busy street of L.A, where there were many people showing off their talents. There was a street dancer displaying his skill. J-Hope, seeing this, “challenged” him to a dance off, where he one-upped the guy.
Whenever someone asks me or talks about my looks, I try to remember Jin. I usually make jokes about me being beautiful and a goddess/queen. When I talk to my friend about Kpop and people question which one of us is a bigger fan, I never back down (weird example, but it’s true), because I’ve spent way too much of my time and compassion into Kpop. It somewhat connects to what Jungkook and J-Hope do, right?
Self-Confidence also relates to the Love Yourself idea, so that should be pretty self-explanatory (I’m still pretty new to this concept, so I don’t have much to share about it since I’m working on it myself currently).
BTS have added a LOT more positive values to my life, and they will keep doing so until I stop being a fan (it pains me thinking of such a time- I hope it never happens). They’re my role models, that’ll I’ll continue looking up to for the time being. They’ve taught us a lot of lessons in life.
hope it helps you. . . . . . follow me. . . . . mark as a brainlist. . . . .
