$\frac{ - 3}{5} - \frac{1}{2}$
now to make the denominators same we have to take l.c.m of 5 and 2
and l.c.m of 5 and 2 is 10
now make the denominators same by multiplying them with such a number that produces 10
$\frac{ - 3}{5} = \frac{ - 3 \times 2}{5 \times 2} = \frac{ - 6}{10}$
now
$\frac{1}{2} = \frac{1 \times 5}{2 \times 5} = \frac{5}{10}$
so now
$\frac{ - 6}{10} - \frac{5}{10} = \frac{ - 6 - 5}{10} = \frac{ - 11}{10}$
