Answer :-

Note :- I am not giving you all of the answers, but here is an easy method for you to follow, with few examples.

LCM = Product of all common factors with highest power.

HCF = Product of all common factors with least power.

We have to express the given numbers in terms of prime numbers to get the HCF and LCM.

(a) 12 and 48
12 = 2 × 2 × 3 = 2^{2} × 3
48 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 3 = 2^{4} × 3

HCF = 2 × 2 × 3 = 12
LCM = 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 3 = 48

(b) 24 and 36
24 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 3
36 = 2 × 2 × 3 × 3

HCF = 2 × 2 × 3 = 12
LCM = 2 × 2 × 2 × 3 × 3 = 72

Notice that for the case of HCF, I am only taking the product of the common factors i.e. the common factors with the least power.
Whereas, for the case of LCM, I am considering the product of the all the common factors with their highest power.
