Radius of circle, by Pythagoras theorem

As a square is inscribed in it with side of 20cm

Then by Pythagoras theorem

20²+20²=diagonal²

400+400=diagonal²

√800=diagonal

20√2 =diagonal

As can see in the diagram that the diagonal of square is the radius of circle

Then radius of circle =20√2

Area of circle =πr²

Area of circle 3.14*20√2

Area of circle =2512cm²

In this figure 1/4 of circle is given then the area of this figure =2512/4 =628cm²

Area of square =20*20=400cm²

Area of shaded region =area of 1/4 circle -area of square

Area of shaded region =628-400=228cm²

228cm² is your answer
